DAUGHTERS OF MARY IMMACULATE

HISTORY
- DMII traces its early beginnings to the Daughters of Isabela, composed of Spouses of members from the Knights of Columbus, lasting for 3 decades, with its Head Office in New Haven, Connecticut
- First Circle was organized in the Philippines, with the creation of the Rosary Circle No 856, in Manila on May 24,1951 . More Circles were eventually organized all over the Country.
- August 29-30,1978, His Eminence, the late Jaime Cardinal Sin was responsible for the restructuring of the Organization into the Daughters of Mary Immaculate because of the relentless dedication of some generous women who banded themselves together in the service of the Church, through their Apostolic endeavors
- As more Circles were organized in New Jersey and Los Angeles, Sydney Australia the word “International” was added to the name of DMII, committed to the service of God and Country

VISION
- With the Blessed Mother as our model and guide, we are an Association of Catholic women in the Philippines and other countries
- strengthened in faith and committed to serve in various apostolic activities through the Basic Ecclesial Communities(BECs)
- reaching out to our less fortunate brothers and sisters through the DMII mission thrusts, to help them achieve and enjoy the fullness of life.

MISSION
Mission. As mandated by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), we are committed to pursue and accomplish the five missions, and such other missions that may be assigned to the Association by the CBCP. Our five fold mission thrusts are;
- Pro-Life
- Morality in Media
- Upliftment of Women Workers
- Assistance to Prisoners’ Families and their Victims
- Youth Welfare/Squirettes of Mary Immaculate(SMI)

OBJECTIVES
Objectives. The objectives for which the Association is incorporated are as follows:
- Help unite all Catholic women in a variety of opportunities for apostolic activity and strengthen the Catholic faith within the bonds of unity, friendship, charity, humility, and sanctity;
- Maintain active participation and involvement in civil society and in the liturgical life of the Catholic community;
- Promote social and intellectual interaction among its members;
- Render mutual aid and assistance to our sick members and their families;
- Promote and conduct educational, charitable, religious, and social welfare work and service
- Promote the sanctity of marriage and the family;
- Preserve and respect human life and all of God’s creation.

Background about the Organization:

- Umbrella organization under Diocesan Shrine Ministry
- Initially recognized by Msgr. Arnel Lagarejos (2002)
- Officially recognized and mandated by Msgr. Balbago (2006)
- Signed and approved by Rev. Fr. Reynante Tolentino & Most Rev. Francisco M. De Leon D.D.(2013)

VISION - MISSION STATEMENT
The vision and mission of the OLA Marshals is to have dedicated church based marshals who will contribute to the safety and orderliness of Events, Proceedings, Activities in OLA by following the norms and guidelines of the Parish all for the greater glory of God.

FUNCTIONS OF OLA MARSHALS
Assist the parish church by means of securing and marshalling its liturgical activities such as processions, special rites, and other undertakings that may be assigned by the Diocesan Shrine Ministry and the parish.
- Ensure orderliness in the Traffic and Parking Conditions of the Parish.
- Participate in all the parish programs and activities.
- Support different Ministries, Organizations, and Chapels under the Parish Pastoral Council.
- Undergo Training and Onboarding before resumption of Duties.
- Collaborate with OLA Organizations, LGUs and other Agencies in the performance of their Tasks to ensure compliance, coordination and smooth working relationships.
