DIOCESAN SHRINE AND PARISH OF OUR LADY OF THE ABANDONED

MOST REV. NOLLY C. BUCO, JCD,JSD, DD

AUXILIARY BISHOP OF ANTIPOLO

Bishop Nolly's elevation to the Episcopate marked a historic moment in the 35-year history of the Diocese, as he became not only its first Priest to attain this distinguished position but also the second Auxiliary Bishop. His ordination as bishop, a solemn and sacred event, was presided over by Most Rev. Francisco de Leon, the Bishop of Antipolo. Alongside him stood Bishop Oscar Florencio, the Auxiliary of Cebu, and Bishop Jacinto Jose, the Bishop of Urdaneta, as co-consecrators. The eloquent and inspiring homily was delivered by His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle. The presence of numerous bishops and archbishops from various dioceses across the country added to the grandeur of the occasion.

With a devoted service of 29 years as a priest, Bishop Buco has not only held the esteemed position of Judicial Vicar of Antipolo but has also served as the Rector of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Seminary. His dedication and wisdom have made him a respected member of the Board of Presbyteral Consultors.

Bishop Nolly's episcopal motto, "Lex Dei Vitae Lampas" (The Law of God is the Lamp of Life), reflects his profound background as a Canon Lawyer. This motto signifies the paramount importance of unwavering obedience to God's laws in his commitment to serving the Church.

REV. FR. LAMBERTO S. RAMOS

SHRINE RECTOR AND PARISH ADMINISTRATOR

Fr. Lambert's journey is a remarkable testament to his unwavering dedication to God's calling. Prior to answering this divine vocation, he had a successful career as a top corporate executive while fulfilling the roles of a loving husband and devoted father to his children. After the passing of his beloved wife, he found the courage to revisit his "first love" and wholeheartedly embraced his lifelong dream of becoming a priest. On June 1, 2018, at the sacred Immaculate Heart of Mary in Antipolo City, he was ordained a priest by the Most Rev. Franciso M. De Leon, marking a profound transformation in his life's journey.
